An evening with Prof. Kuang S. Yeh

We cordially invite you to an evening with a distinguished guest from Taiwan, Prof. Kuang S. Yeh. Prof. Yeh is currently the Chair of Department of Business Management and Director of the EMBA program at National Sun Yat-Sen University in Taiwan. He has years of business and business counseling experiences in both Taiwan and China, and was invited as an Visiting Professor in Shanghai Fudan University and Beijing Tsinghua University in 2006.

Prof. Yeh will share with us his first-hand observation and experience across the strait. The topic of his speech will be "Evaluating corporate governance of the businesses in Taiwan and China from an investment perspective”. Come and enjoy a wonderful evening!

Bio of Prof. Kuang S. Yeh, Ph.D:

Kuang S. Yeh is a Professor of Organization Management and Chairman of the Department of Business Management and EMBA Program Director at National Sun Yat-Sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Between August 2005 and June 2006, He was a visiting professor at Fudan University in Shanghai and Tsinghua University in Beijing.  

Prof. Yeh is an early champion for corporate governance in Taiwan.  He was an independent director for two listed companies in Taiwan, including Tsannkuen Corporation and Microlife Corporation.  Currently, he is an independent director of Delta-CIMIC Corporation in China.  He is also a co-founder of ezTravel and Startravel, two largest on-line travel sites in Taiwan.

During 2000 and 2001, Kuang S. Yeh served as a Chief Operation Officer for Pacific Broadband Corporation, the third largest multiple cable system operators in Taiwan.  During the period, PBC had more than 600,000 subscribers and more than 1,000 employees. Prior to that, Prof. Yes was the director of Graduate Institute of communication Management at National Sun Yat-Sen University for one year.

Professor Yeh is a columnist for CommonWealth Magazine, a leading management magazine in Taiwan. He has published six well-recognized general management books (in Chinese) and more than 50 academic articles.

Born in Hualian, Taiwan, Kuang S Yeh has a BA in political science from National Taiwan University, an MPA from University of Delaware, and a Ph.D. in Organization Theory and Policy Analysis from Carnegie Mellon University.
