A Real-World Communication Boot Camp

How to use the power of communication to get what you want at work

NYTFA is honored to cohost this event with Cultural Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York and Federation of Taiwanese Student Associations in NY (FTSANY).

Our speaker of the event is Ms. Susan Mach, a partner with Laurence & Susan Mach Creative Services, and her speech topic is "A Very Practical Real-World Communication Boot Camp: How to Use the Power of Communication to Get What You Want at Work". 

This should be an excellent opportunity to learn from a seasoned professional and to actually practice the skills immediately by meeting people.

Due to security requirement, RSVP is mandatory. If this is your first NYTFA event, please submit your brief bio for our guests and speakers.

Location: Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York, 1 E. 42nd Street (corner of 5th Ave)  


  • 5:30 - 6pm : registration 
  • 6 - 7pm : presentation
  • 7 - 9pm : reception & mixing 


  • $10 to cover drinks & food (free for students with ID)



Susan has a bachelor's degree in English and a master's in social sciences, both from Montclair State University, and a Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College.

Susan is an adjunct professor at New York University Stern School of Business, where she teaches management communication to M.B.A. students, and at Rutgers Business School, where she teaches business communication to M.B.A. and executive M.B.A. candidates from all over the world. She also trains and coaches M.B.A. students in a number of other metro-New York business schools as well as corporate executives. She has finished the New York City Marathon eight times.
